Further information
Oral Presentation - Rapid Fire:
abstracts submitted in this category will be evaluated for presentation in the main room.
-
The time allocated to each oral presentation is 4 minutes for the entire presentation. It is recommended to prepare the introduction of presentations and speeches in order to reach the result and the final message in good time and to use the correct number of slides to respect the timing.
-
In order to avoid possible technical problems that could cause delays in the program, it is necessary to use the technical equipment currently present in the room during the presentations.
-
The presentation file must be delivered to the speakers' room at least 3 hours before the session.
Please check the date, time and length of your presentation before the meeting starts.
Please note that times may vary, so please be in the meeting room at the start of the session you are attending.
In order to meet the time requirements of the scientific program, personal laptops will not be used for presentations. All presentations will be pre-loaded onto a master PC before the meeting starts. This requires that all audiovisual presentations be submitted in advance of the Congress. Presentations must be compatible with PowerPoint 2007. This allows our audiovisual staff to ensure that your PowerPoint presentation works properly, especially if it contains video.
The Scientific Committee is pleased to host your presentation in this year's programme. When preparing your presentation, please observe the following guidelines for the congress. Focus on the essence of your research and eliminate unnecessary background information and lengthy discussions.
Your presentation must be an abstract in PowerPoint format.
Please include the following:
-
Title slide and information. Avoid acknowledging co-authors.
-
Skip immediately to the Purpose/Hypothesis section.
-
Materials and Methods. Present information that demonstrates to the audience that your research is valid, that your methods are valid, and that you used appropriate statistics where applicable.
-
Results: Focus on the results that are relevant to your purpose and hypothesis. Tell us the statistical significance of your most important results. Tell us the “content” of your results.
-
Conclusion: Describe the importance of your research and its clinical relevance to summarize what your research has taught us. Simply explain why your research is important. If there is prior literature that supports or refutes yours, please let us know. Provide only one or two conclusion slides to summarize what your research has taught us.
-
Your presentation should be no more than 3-5 slides.
Regardless of the complexity of your research, you can do it in the time allotted. At most, the audience will get 2 or 3 points from your presentation. This format allows for the inclusion of a broad range of quality research with maximum educational value in this year's scientific program.
Please be present in the room at the beginning of the session you will present.
